Side Event Program Curation and Production, Facilitator Coordination

This film festival attracts annually more than 5000 guests, at 10 locations, with more than 60 events and screenings. Anything that is nudged, inspired, or provoked in the film screenings can find a safer space in one of the side events for conversation, exchange, and reflection.

• Using my network of facilitators, educators, and creators of the LGBTQIA+ and conscious sex- and body-positive scene.

• Curating a diverse and inclusive, yet teasing, thought-provoking, and educational program of workshops, seminars, and talks tailored for first time-guests, film-makers, and everyone in between.

• Events include a session on trauma-informedness, a seminar on abortion, sexual health, and "A Historical Walk of Queer Subculture and Sexual Underground"

• Partners include Stadt Wien, Aidshilfe Wien, QWien, and Queer City Pass Vienna, Tenga.

• Starting off with active listening to my speaker Laura Rothgang and her topic, the story she'd like to tell, and her worries about her first TED talk.

• Personal Sessions with exercises from the TED Speaker Guide, Design Thinking Coaching like emotional Check-Ins & -Outs, giving the talk in reverse order for memorising and sense-making, reducing it by half and then again plus giving space to grieve the reduced content.

• Holding space in an in-person facilitated walk-n-talk for the stage fright on the day of the talk.

  Enabling a safer environment through consent-aware leadership. At work, in a community, and elsewhere. I learned e.g. about the trauma responses "Flight", "Fight", "Freeze", and "Fawn", how to facilitate participatory writing of a code of conduct, and to receive reports without victim shaming or blaming behaviours (trauma informedness).

• Advanced Track: Co-designing the future of the Teufelsberg in Berlin:
  A Policy Transformation Lab. Facilitating on-site co-design sessions with activists, policymakers, politicians, citizens, and project partners in one room to ensure a non-elitist, resilient, and truly participatory growth of such a lab. We made our findings public through a collaborative installation, an on-site audio walk with an open call for future co-design sessions and provided a roadmap for stakeholders.

• In the Basic Track, we worked with the Institute for Contemporary Exam Culture e.V. Conducting interviews and testing with high-school staff to find ways to increase reach and acceptance for future-proof exam formats. We prototyped a roll-out of their exam formats on existing and used classroom-management platforms.
  
  My biggest takeaway was the bias to action and creating testable prototypes as early and low-fidelity as possible to iterate early and often for solutions the world actually needs.

• In my thesis I designed an immersive space where people feel safe to self-impose waiting. Shedding light on the stigma of resting, the privilege it takes to practice mindfulness, and what an alternative future of waiting could look and feel like.
  Further I conducted artistic research on the trend of the “Quantification of Human Relationships” in a world where technology and data tracking is omnipresent: Made graspable with a high-fidelity prototype of a watch that displays your relationships instead of the time.
  
  I worked interdisciplinary, integrating design, psychology, and sociology in projects that made scientific research graspable. I also learned how important it is to take a stand and responsibility as a creator, designer, and author in an accelerating world due to AI and digitalization.
